Liechtenstein is the fourth-smallest state in Europe and lies in the centre of Europe and the Alps, between Switzerland and Austria. Comprising eleven municipalities, the principality is a constitutional hereditary monarchy on a parliamentary and democratic basis. The head of state is Prince Hans-Adam II von Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein is 25km long and 12km wide (at widest distance) with a total area of 160 square km. The population is around 36000 inhabitants. Capital is the town Vaduz.
The competition will take place on the airfield of the MFGL. The macadam runway is80m long, 10m wide and 450m above sea-level.Since the flightline is orientated to the East, competitors may want to use a sunshield as a protection from direct sunlight on clear mornings till around 11:00h.
